Day to Day Duties
You responsibilities as a Reach & Counterbalance Driver will include but are not limited to:
- Driving/Operating FLT Trucks ( Reach & Counterbalance )
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
- Moving and transporting stock into the correct areas of the warehouse
- Loading and unloading vehicles and pallets from vehicles
- Receiving and unpacking incoming goods and taking inventories as required
- Organising stock for deliveries and wrapping and securing
- Stacking and stowing pallets away
- Adhering to Health & Safety at all times and promoting a safe working environment
- Checking the quantity and visual quality of incoming and outgoing goods
- Organising stock for deliveries and reporting any stock difference to Management
- Promoting a safe work environment and reporting any safety concerns or issues to Management
- Clearing work area of any debris and keeping the traffic routes clear of obstructions.
- Reporting faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
- Putting stock away and entering movements on the system
Essential Skills
The following skills are essential to this role:-
- Valid Reach Truck & Counterbalance Licence ( In House will be considered )
- Experience driving/operating a Reach/Counterbalance Truck
- Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to deadlines
- You will need to pass an assessment on the FLT Trucks
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in a logistics/warehouse background would be beneficial.
What training is provided?
- System training will be given and you will be working alongside experienced team members
- You will need to pass an onsite assessment on driving/operating the FLT Trucks
