My client is an independent planning consultancy that specializes in providing professional planning advice across a range of sectors, from residential developments to retail schemes for private developers, local authorities, and public sector organizations.
This dynamic team is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Planner to support senior planners with the delivery of planning applications, planning appeals, and strategic advice for a wide range of exciting projects. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your planning skills, gain exposure to diverse developments, and play an integral role in a collaborative team environment!
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and other planning-related documentation.
- Conducting site assessments and research into local planning policies and regulations.
- Preparing reports, presentations, and supporting documents for clients and planning authorities.
- Engaging with stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, and the public, to ensure effective communication and project progression.
- Providing general administrative support to the planning team.
Candidate Requirements:
- An RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for planning and a desire to develop your career in the sector.
