We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Associate Town Planner to join an established and forward-thinking planning consultancy. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects within the town planning sector. As an Associate Town Planner, you will contribute to the successful delivery of planning applications, development plans, and strategic advisory services to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and other planning documents.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients to resolve planning issues and ensure project success.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare reports for planning applications.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and proposals.
  • Support senior planners and the wider team on various planning projects, offering your insights and expertise.
Key Requirements:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning (RTPI accredited).
  • Relevant experience in town planning, ideally with experience in residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and authorities.
  • Proficiency in planning software and GIS applications.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
