Graduate Town Planner - Manchester | £24,000 - £28,000

A well-established planning consultancy in Manchester is looking for a motivated Graduate Town Planner to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working on planning applications, appeals, and appraisals for a range of clients, from private individuals to national developers.

The Role

As a Graduate Town Planner, you'll work closely with experienced consultants and directors, contributing to the successful delivery of planning projects. You'll be involved in research, document preparation, case management, and client support, all while developing the skills necessary for a successful career in planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents.

  • Maintain records of applications and appeals.

  • Stay updated with industry developments and professional publications.

  • Process new enquiries and support consultant allocation.

  • Conduct background research and identify key planning issues.

  • Manage a caseload of minor proposals under supervision.

  • Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

  • Provide excellent service to clients and uphold professional standards.

  • Work towards full RTPI membership.
