Senior Town Planner - Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Your Role:
As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing all stages of planning work, from initial appraisals and fee proposals to planning applications, appeals, and inquiries. You will be involved in providing planning policy advice and handling planning enquiries. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your own client base and lead projects with full budgetary responsibility.
This is a client-facing role where you will be expected to deliver technically sound advice, manage a varied workload, and maintain excellent communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of planning applications, including appeals and inquiries.
- Provide reliable, timely technical expertise to clients across a wide range of sectors.
- Manage your own workload and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects.
- Support the development of the business and assist in expanding the client base.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with clients from the public and private sectors.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI), or working towards chartership.
- Proven experience in preparing and submitting planning applications.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning methods, legislation, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
