We are looking for a skilled Land Surveyor to join our client's team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing accurate and reliable surveying services across various projects, ensuring that all measurements and data collected are in line with industry standards and regulations. The role requires working on a variety of land and property types, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.

Responsibilities

Conduct precise land and site surveys using GPS, total stations, drones, and other surveying equipment.

Interpret and record geographical information to produce detailed drawings, plans, and maps.

Perform topographical, boundary, and construction surveys.

Analyse and present data using CAD software and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).

Provide accurate reports, plans, and measurements to assist architects, engineers, and developers.

Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.

Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to deliver projects efficiently.

Work closely with project managers to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.

Assist in setting out for construction works when required.

Requirements

Independently carry out topographical surveys of varying scales and complexities, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.

Independently perform measured building surveys of different scales and complexities, delivering results to a high standard.

Lead large and complex surveying projects, coordinating with team members of different skill levels to ensure successful completion.

Provide clear instructions, guidance, and direction to multiple teams on large-scale and complex projects, ensuring efficiency and precision.

Collaborate effectively on projects with trainee, junior, and technician-level staff, contributing to their professional development through practical onsite and office-based support.

Process multiple data sets from various instruments, ensuring topographical and building survey data is accurate and meets industry standards.

Contribute to the smooth execution of projects with minimal supervision, consistently achieving goals and delivering high-quality outputs.

Ensure all surveying equipment is well-maintained, fit for purpose, and operates at optimal standards.

Conduct initial site inspections and perform dynamic risk assessments, reporting any safety concerns to the broader surveying team or management.
