The Role
As an Associate Landscape Architect, you will take a leading role in shaping, refining, and delivering visionary landscapes that align with client ambitions. From initial concept and bidding to final planning documentation, you will be at the heart of every stage of development. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Landscape Visual Appraisals (LVA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other strategic reports.
- Developing Management Plans, Opportunities & Constraints Assessments, Green Infrastructure (GI) strategies, and Method Statements to guide projects through every phase.
- Client engagement - forming and maintaining strong relationships, representing the company with confidence, and playing a crucial role in business development.
- Mentoring and leadership, supporting the development of junior team members while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in landscape field survey work and planning assessments.
- A deep understanding of UK planning policy and legislation frameworks.
- Strong project management capabilities, with experience leading and delivering complex projects.
- A natural flair for client interaction, winning new work, and nurturing long-term partnerships.
- Exceptional communication skills, ensuring clarity and confidence when liaising with stakeholders, clients, and local planning authorities.
- A track record of business development, demonstrating your ability to identify opportunities and contribute to company growth.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (highly desirable).
