This is a unique opportunity to work with a high-caliber team, ensuring compliance with insolvency law and regulatory requirements across the firm's operations.Position Overview:As the Insolvency Compliance Solicitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the firm adheres to all relevant insolvency regulations, providing legal guidance, and supporting the corporate recovery team in handling complex cases. You will play a crucial role in mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with the Insolvency Act, and advising internal stakeholders on regulatory changes and their impacts.You will work closely with the firm's insolvency practitioners, compliance team, and senior management, providing strategic advice and ensuring all operations are conducted within the legal framework. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the firm’s ongoing success by ensuring the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Insolvency Compliance: Ensure the firm’s processes and practices comply with the Insolvency Act, Insolvency Rules, and other relevant legislation.Advisory Role: Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance issues, including corporate recovery, insolvency procedures, and restructuring matters.Document Review: Draft, review, and oversee all legal documents, including insolvency appointments, creditor claims, and other related documentation.Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks associated with insolvency cases and ensure appropriate measures are taken to mitigate them.Regulatory Monitoring: Keep the firm informed of changes in insolvency law and regulation, ensuring swift implementation of necessary adjustments.Training & Development: Provide training and development to internal teams on insolvency compliance, helping them stay informed about legal obligations.Audits & Investigations: Oversee internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.Qualifications & Skills:Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in insolvency law and compliance.Strong understanding of insolvency legislation, including the Insolvency Act, Insolvency Rules, and corporate restructuring processes.Proven experience in an in-house legal or compliance role within a corporate recovery or insolvency environment is preferred.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to convey complex legal matters to non-legal stakeholders.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
