We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded law firm in Manchester for a Corporate Solicitor (1-3 PQE) to join their growing Corporate team.  The firm’s Corporate Department is a leading advisor to owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors including tech, healthcare, financial services, and sports. The department works closely with clients throughout their growth journeys, providing trusted advice at every stage. The team handles a wide variety of transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, employee ownership trusts, and more. You’ll also work on business reorganisations, shareholder agreements, and supporting founders through business exits, such as trade sales or management buyouts.  This is a full-time role, with standard office hours (9 am to 5 pm) and hybrid working available (1-2 days remote). Occasionally, flexibility will be required to meet urgent deadlines.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Work across the team on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including M&A and private equity deals.
  • Assist with day-to-day business operations, such as shareholder agreements and group reorganisations.
  • Provide support to businesses seeking external investment and founders preparing for their exit strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm and external advisers such as corporate finance teams and accountants.
  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year PQE, ideally 2-3 years, with demonstrable experience in transactional corporate law and M&A.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with excellent client care.
  • A collaborative team player who is eager to develop business development (BD) skills.
  • An interest in networking and promoting the firm to clients and contacts (support for developing these skills will be provided).
