Fantastic opportunity to join this specialist L500 practice that are highly reputable and regularly feature in the Legal 500 & Chambers directory. This firm are seeking an experienced court of protection fee earner or junior Solicitor to join their national team.You will be expected to deal a broad range of matters to include with:
  • Professional deputyship work, including if possible, high value and complex matters
  • Applications to the Court of Protection
  • Contested Court of Protection matters, preparing instructions to counsel, Court bundles etc.
  • Advice to families regarding LPAs and Lay deputyship applications
  • Investigation of financial abuse
  • Knowledge of welfare issues affecting Protected Parties
  • Knowledge of different care funding options including local authority and NHS funding
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
Ideally you will have gained experience of the above, or at least practiced within Court of Protection as a paralegal or during your training contractin a similar role.
