My client based in Greater Manchester is looking for an experienced Conveyancer with excellent compliance skills to lead the Conveyancing department

Head of Conveyancing Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and oversee a busy conveyancing team, ensuring efficiency and excellence in client service.
  • Handle a varied and complex caseload, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, leasehold transactions, and transfers of equity.
  • Provide strategic guidance on case management, risk assessment, and legal best practices.
  • Drive business development and networking efforts, expanding the firm’s client base and service offerings.
  • Mentor and manage a small team of solicitors, associates, and support staff, ensuring continued professional growth and high performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining the firm’s high standards of service.

Head of Conveyancing Key Attributes and experience

  • Ideally Qualified Solicitor/ Conveyancer
  • Experience in residential property law and Regulatory Compliance.
  • A proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing a team.
  • Experience handling complex and high-value property transactions.
  • A commercially focused mindset, with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to offer clear and strategic legal advice.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and strong IT literacy
