Housing Disrepair Litigation Solicitor
Expert Law Solicitors are currently looking for experienced housing disrepair solicitors to work in their housing disrepair team.
The candidate must have experience in handling Housing Disrepair files from start to end. The fee earner must be a qualified solicitor or equivalent.

Ideally you will have at least 3-4 years PQE in housing disrepair, have strong knowledge of the housing disrepair protocol and be comfortable with housing disrepair litigation.
- Qualified Solicitor with minimum 3 years PQE in housing disrepair matters
- Have a full understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair Cases
- Have a full understanding of S.11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Section 4 of the Defective Premises Act 1972, The Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, common law nuisance and negligence
- Take a pragmatic commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risk - Excellent client care skills
- Be able and competent to issue proceedings in housing disrepair matters and draft cost schedules

£40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year Benefits:
OTE £65K +

Responsibilities
- Represent clients in housing disrepair claims, ensuring their rights are upheld.
- Negotiate settlements with landlords and insurance companies to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Conduct thorough investigations of property conditions and document evidence.
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence related to disrepair cases.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and options throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate records and case files to track progress and outcomes.
This is an Office based role in our new Manchester branch in central Manchester
