Douglas Scott is working with a long-term client to recruit a Solicitor for their specialist Housing Law team, which exclusively advises tenants. This opportunity is ideal for solicitors with substantial experience who are looking to progress their career in a highly specialized and reputed firm. The team consists of several professionals, and the role offers significant prospects for career development. Key Requirements:
  • Strong commitment to legal aid and supporting vulnerable clients, particularly those with mental ill health.
  • Excellent client care skills with a sympathetic understanding of clients' needs.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload, varying in complexity, while working collaboratively with senior and junior colleagues.
  • Expertise in advising on eviction, possession, homelessness, succession, and anti-social behaviour cases.
  • Proficiency in working to Legal Aid Agency standards (SQM), Peer Review Criteria, and Guidance.
  • Experience managing a large volume of cases.
  • Strong IT, organizational, and advocacy skills.
