HR & Employment Law Advisor – £35K to £40K, Based on Experience – Manchester, UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HR policies, ensuring compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) guidelines.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for legal professionals and support staff.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and workplace disputes.
  • Provide expert employment law advice to clients on redundancy, unfair dismissals, and workplace policies.
  • Support the Employment Law team in preparing case documents and legal research.
  • Ensure workplace compliance, risk management, and HR audits are conducted effectively.
  • Manage payroll, employee benefits, and workplace incentives.

The Person

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR, Employment Law, or Business Administration (Legal Focus). CIPD Level 5+ preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR, preferably within a law firm or professional services firm.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK employment law, GDPR, and ACAS best practices.
  • Skills: Ability to handle tribunal cases, workplace disputes, and HR compliance matters.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with HR software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Professionalism: Able to manage confidential and sensitive legal matters.
