With a commitment to professional development and a supportive team environment, this is an ideal opportunity for a 4 PQE+ Associate looking to take the next step to Senior Associate, or a Senior Associate seeking progression to Director level.

The Role

As part of this dynamic and highly regarded IP team, you will be responsible for providing non-contentious IP advice to a diverse client base across multiple industries. The role will focus on advisory work, brand protection strategies and handling trade mark-related claims. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on IP law, including the protection, management and commercial use of IP rights
  • Handling trade mark claims, advising on design rights, copyright and trade secrets
  • Providing strategic brand protection and enforcement advice
  • Supporting clients in the negotiation and drafting of IP agreements and licensing
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders to develop tailored IP strategies for clients

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 4 PQE+ experience in intellectual property law, with a strong focus on non-contentious matters
  • Previous hands-on experience advising clients on the protection and commercialisation of IP rights
  • Extensive knowledge of trade mark, copyright, design rights, brand protection and trade secret laws, with some exposure to patents
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and work effectively under pressure
  • A collaborative approach and a track record of developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues
