A leading law firm in Manchester is seeking a skilled Litigation Team Manager to join their Housing Litigation Department. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced legal professional with strong managerial skills to lead a team within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of litigation fee earners, providing guidance, support, and technical assistance as needed.
  • Act as the key point of contact for complex legal queries, particularly relating to the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Part 8 proceedings.
  • Lead the recruitment process for new team members, ensuring that high-caliber professionals are brought on board. Manage the onboarding process to integrate new staff effectively into the team.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of ongoing litigated files, ensuring that all cases are managed efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships both internally within the firm and externally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for professional development within your team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • c. 4 years of experience in managing a team and handling litigated files, particularly within Housing Conditions/Disrepair.
  • Experience with the Proclaim Case Management System is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of the CPR, including Part 8 proceedings. Familiarity with Housing Conditions/Disrepair is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work.
