Job Description: We have two fantastic opportunities to join a Local Authority in the Northwest as a Locum Property Lawyer. The client is looking for someone to work on a hybrid basis, with one day a week in the office, but will consider fully remote candidates. The client is looking one candidate to start as soon as possible; the second candidate is to start at the beginning of April. Both contracts will be booked in until the end of October 2025 initially, with potential to extend further.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advising on property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and development agreements.
  • Drafting and negotiating property and commercial contracts, including long leases, right to buy sales, and leasehold enfranchisement.
  • Providing legal advice on land and property law, including landlord and tenant matters.
  • All forms of restate management work, both residential and commercial.
  • Working closely with council departments, developers, and external stakeholders to progress key projects.

Hourly Rate: £55ph Umbrella

Recent Property Law experience is essential as they need candidates that can hit the ground running. Local Government experience is also highly desirable.
