Job Description:

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Personal Injury / Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling a diverse caseload, ranging from personal injury claims to civil disputes, and will be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients. This role requires a proactive approach, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage cases efficiently from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of personal injury and civil litigation matters, including but not limited to road traffic accidents, employer’s liability, public liability, contractual disputes, and property disputes.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their legal rights and options.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including claims, witness statements, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and settlement negotiations, advocating effectively on their behalf.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and other legal professionals to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry developments.
  • Contribute to the firm's business development initiatives, including networking, attending industry events, and enhancing the firm's reputation in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 2 years of PQE in personal injury and civil litigation.
  • Demonstrable experience handling a broad range of personal injury and civil litigation cases.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management software.
  • Excellent client care skills with a client-focused approach to legal services.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high work standards and accuracy in all matters.
  • A proactive team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
