A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Regulatory/Professional Negligence Solicitor to join their team.

The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, providing support to regulated professionals when issues arise. This is a great opportunity if you have experience in regulatory/professional negligence but the firm will consider those with limited/previous experience seeking to get into/return to this practice area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of regulatory and professional negligence cases.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to regulated professionals facing allegations of negligence or regulatory breaches.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective case management.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, tribunals, and other legal proceedings.
  • Offer strategic advice to clients on risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor and support junior team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in regulatory and professional negligence law is desirable.
  • The firm will consider applications from those with limited experience, or those with previous regulatory/professional negligence experience seeking to return to this practice area.
  • Strong background in supporting regulated professionals in various industries.
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload independently.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload efficiently.
