My client is searching for a Senior Property Lawyer to join their offices in Mancheseter, Greater Manchester on a hybrid basis

Key Tasks & Activity

Managing on a day to day basis a caseload within the Transactional Team which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.Daily tasks include:

• Ensuring due diligence in all areas of processing a residential property transaction• Use the OMS to progress cases efficiently and to the timescales set• Accountable for all other dealings with other lawyers and other legal aspects on all property transactions• Assess risk on every transaction by using skills to make pragmatic decisions and to ensure appropriate legal advice is given• Draft legal documents, to include:• Standard Precedent Letters• Contract packs• Exchange letters• Freehold AP1s• Freeform letters• Post Completion works to include:• Preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry• Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions• File closures• Checking account ledgers• Make telephone calls when requested• File 'housekeeping’• Apply for Searches• Complete SDLT forms• Logical management of key tasks• Zetafax• Problem Solving & Risk Assessment• Communication• Performance Reviews• Reinforce Company Values and Culture• Management Requests

Skills Required

• Relevant experience would be an advantage• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is essential• Excellent communication skills, well-spoken and personable; able to get on with diverse personalities• Flexible attitude to working practices and demands• Strong organisation, planning, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills• Confident, resourceful and practical
