Your new companyOur client is a leading North West personal injury firm, who are looking for successful Barristers of over 5 years called, to join their in-house advocacy department. You will handle your own caseload of hearings and trials whilst also being responsible for the supervision of two pupil barristers. There is a high degree of hybrid working in this role. The majority of trials will be based in the North West, however there may be the occasional requirement to travel further afield. A full driving licence is favourable.

Your new roleThis Supervising Barrister position will see you undertake advocacy on behalf of one of the leading North West personal injury firms. You will be asked to undertake advocacy requirements as required, which will cover a full range of hearings and trials. Trials will involve liability, quantum and causation disputes. You may also be asked to advise, research, analyse and/or draft where required. This is a Supervisory Barrister position, and you will be responsible for the supervision of two pupil barristers as the firm develops their in-house advocacy team. You may be asked to travel on short notice and may be asked to stay overnight to attend court on consecutive days. To accommodate this, you will be able to expense these costs.

What you'll need to succeedYou must be a practising Barrister with over 5 years' experience. Previous personal injury experience if preferable. Full rights of audience are required. While a full driving licence is not essential, it is preferred. You must have excellent advocacy and communication skills as well as strong research and problem-solving abilities. You must be able and willing to travel on a daily basis across the country and may be required to stay overnight.
