We are recruiting this fantastic Quality Manager role for a thriving Manufacturing/Engineering business.

What will the role involve?

  • Managing, improving and ensuring compliance for driving a culture of continuous improvements
  • Overseeing external audits (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9100), acting as the main point of contact for external auditors
  • Delivering internal audit programmes including training of internal colleagues and closing any subsequent audit actions
  • Carrying out supplier audits across the business' sub-contractor network
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely resolution of complaints
  • Monitoring, evaluating and improving manufacturing performance using various quality methodologies and KPI's
  • Driving improvements in Quality policies and procedures across all areas of the business, creating a culture of operational excellence and 'Right First-Time' mindset

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Quality Manager in a highly regulated Manufacturing or Production environment (Aerospace or Automotive would be ideal but not essential)
  • Proven track record as Lead Auditor with experience leading both internal and external audits
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9100 (or similar)
  • Honed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Data-driven approach with good analytical ability
  • Passion for identifying and implementing continuous improvements (Lean Six Sigma would be an advantage but not essential)

Remuneration

£50,000 - £60,000 plus Benefits Package
