We're partnered with a leading UK200 listed law firm who are looking for a Legal Secretary to assist the central support unit in their Manchester office. You will provide secretarial support to different members of the firm as needed, including document production, updating databases and typing to dictation. This role if perfect for a legal secretary with document production experience, looking to gain experience in a range of practice areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive support to fee earners, managing tasks efficiently and collaborating with team leaders.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues, handling messages and providing assistance.
  • Create, format, and manage documents, using track changes, cross-referencing, and tables of contents to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records in the firm’s database in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Prepare financial slips, verify bank details, and handle completion statements with attention to detail.
  • Manage file administration, including opening, maintaining, and archiving files per firm procedures.
  • Use digital tools and platforms like dictation software and e-signatures to support legal processes.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and regulations, including confidentiality and anti-money laundering.

What we need from you:

  • Excellent document production skills including track changes, cross referencing, table of contents, automatic numbering
  • Audio typing experience
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
