Conveyancing Legal Secretary

Middleton, North Manchester

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join high street Law Firm in Middleton, North Manchester.

In this role, you will provide essential secretarial and administrative support to a the Conveyancing team. As the first point of contact for clients and external agencies, you will play a vital role in maintaining a professional front for the team. Your expertise in property procedures will greatly benefit the team's operations. Your ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information will be paramount. We are looking for someone who is proactive and can thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating exceptional communication skills. If you are passionate about the legal field and possess the necessary skills to support this Property Team effectively, we encourage you to apply and become a valuable asset to the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with the progression and organisation of Property files from inception through to post completion.
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including contracts, forms, searches and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Use of Case Management system and other property specific systems & software.
  • Manage Partners & Fee Earners calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with team, clients and stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.
  • Manage and prioritise a busy workload supporting multiple team members.
  • Work accurately to deadlines and have a strong attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal PA, Legal Assistant, Paralegal; or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
  • Familiarity with either Residential Conveyancing or Commercial Property legal terminology, documents, and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal case management software.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work assignments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

The Legal Secretary/PA will be working within a full-time role based at the firms Middleton office in North Manchester.
