With a strong reputation in the legal sector, we deliver effective and commercially focused legal solutions in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and general business matters. We are now looking to expand our team and invite a highly motivated and professional Corporate Paralegal to join our busy and dynamic department.Position Overview:As a Corporate Paralegal, you will assist our Corporate Law team in a variety of legal tasks, including advising clients on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, company formations, and compliance matters. Your role will involve drafting and preparing legal documents, conducting research, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring all transactions comply with UK legal and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the incorporation of companies, including drafting Articles of Association, Shareholder Agreements, and other corporate documents
  • Providing support for mergers and acquisitions, including conducting due diligence, preparing transaction documents, and coordinating the completion of transactions
  • Assisting with corporate governance matters, including the preparation of minutes and resolutions for board and shareholder meetings
  • Preparing and filing statutory documents with Companies House and other relevant authorities
  • Drafting and reviewing various contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
  • Managing and organising legal files and documentation for corporate transactions
  • Conducting research on corporate law, company regulations, and other relevant legal matters
  • Liaising with clients, company directors, and third parties to gather necessary information and provide updates
  • Ensuring compliance with UK company law and regulatory requirements in all aspects of work

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a paralegal in a corporate law setting or a related field
  • A recognised paralegal qualification or degree (CILEx, LPC, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of UK company law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and related legal areas
  • Experience with Companies House filings and other regulatory compliance matters
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and case management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team
