Role OverviewWe are representing a leading UK law firm in their search for a Costs Draftsperson to join their well-established Costs Department, consisting of over 40 professionals. This role is a fantastic opportunity to assist senior case handlers with a broad range of drafting needs, including budget work.You'll be working on high-value cases within personal injury and clinical negligence, and will be part of a thriving in-house team. The position offers excellent career development prospects, including potential support for ACL qualifications or training contracts for the right candidate.Candidate Profile/Experience NeededThe ideal candidate will have between 12 months to 5 years' experience in claimant costs within personal injury, either in-house or with an external costs-drafting provider. The key skills and experience needed for this role include:
- Preparing bills and supplementary documents for fast track and multi-track cases, particularly for detailed assessment.
- Experience in budget drafting.
- Strong communication and drafting skills, particularly around Precedent H, R, Q, and formal bills.
- A good working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and the Detailed Assessment process.
- The ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
