Legal Personal Assistant

Location: Manchester

Role: 12 Month FTC

Are you an experienced Legal PA looking for a new challenge? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!

GRG are pleased to be supporting a leading law firm that provides excellent legal services to clients across the UK.

The Role:

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the legal team and ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing legal documentation, including contracts, agreements, and court documents
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings for the legal team
  • Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that all queries are dealt with promptly and professionally
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all legal matters
  • Business development: working with the team to look after and develop client relationships
  • Collation and managing financial reports and other finance data from the firm's financial system
  • Preparation of expense claims
  • Updating Interaction with client contact details

About You

  • Previous PA experience in a similar role within legal, ideally with IP/Commercial/litigation/Dispute Resolution or similar practice area experience
  • Experience of billing and organising litigation files
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision and to a high standard
  • Knowledge of billing/time recording systems desirable
  • Knowledge of e-filing desirable
  • Attention to detail, especially when working with correspondence and documentation
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to change, new practices and cope under pressure
  • The ability to suggest new and better ways of working and implement new processes
  • Excellent presentation skills reflected in their work
  • A methodical and organised approach with keen attention paid to every detail
  • Good organisational skills to ensure that tasks are effectively scheduled within working time available, and that urgent work is completed and returned within the specified timescales
  • Friendly and helpful approach to dealing with queries
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Ability to prioritise and to work under pressure
  • Good listening skills and ability to respond to feedback
  • Ability to be pro-active and deliver a quality service to both internal and external clients
