This is an exciting opportunity to develop your legal career in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience in a broad range of legal disciplines.Job Overview:As a Trainee Solicitor, you will commence a two-year training contract that exposes you to multiple areas of law, including Employment Law, Intellectual Property, Data Protection, Health & Safety, Commercial Law, and Civil Litigation. The majority of your time will be spent within the Advisory Solicitors Team, where you will play a key role in providing legally compliant advice to clients on issues such as Settlement Agreements, TUPE, grievances, redundancies, absence management, and more.Upon successful completion of the training contract, you will transition into a Solicitor role within the Advisory Solicitors Team, where you will continue to support clients and manage their legal needs.Key Responsibilities:* Provide legally sound and commercially viable advice on various employment law issues, including Settlement Agreements, TUPE, grievances, redundancies, and more.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR and Employment Law, ensuring advice is always compliant and relevant.* Manage client cases effectively, ensuring quick resolution while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.* Log all client interactions accurately and promptly using the internal system.* Review and assess client documentation to ensure compliance with employment law and the client's internal policies.* Regularly engage in internal training and updates to ensure ongoing compliance.* Handle client visits and report on outcomes as required by the Advice Service Managers.* Continuously strive to improve your professional skills and personal development.Ideal candidate:* Preferred but not essential: background or exposure to Employment Law* Retrain opportunity for candidate who has experience in other areas of law (Dispute Resolution / Litigation) * A proactive and "can-do" attitude with a strong willingness to learn.* Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients.* Excellent time management and organisational skills.* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
