We are exclusively recruiting for two Paralegal roles within a highly respected Catastrophic Injury team based in Manchester, due to continued expansion. This is a fantastic chance to join a top-tier legal team that is renowned for delivering exceptional results for clients and offers a clear pathway for career development. The DepartmentThis leading Personal Injury team is recognised nationally for its expertise in handling complex catastrophic injury claims, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and amputation cases. With a proven track record of securing millions of pounds in compensation, the team is committed to providing outstanding client care and legal excellence. The RoleAs a Paralegal in the Catastrophic Injury team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with industry leaders in catastrophic injury litigation and gain invaluable legal experience. Key responsibilities include:
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Attending conferences with counsel and medical experts, and taking detailed notes
  • Preparing court documents and court bundles
  • Obtaining and reviewing medical records
  • Reviewing medical reports
  • Researching case law on liability and quantum
  • Liaising with clients to provide case progress updates
  • Preparing instructions to medical experts and counsel
  • Assisting with billing and disbursement payments
These roles offer a hybrid working option after the initial office-based onboarding period, allowing for up to two days per week remote working. What We’re Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Experience in Personal Injury work, with exposure to catastrophic injury claims
  • The ability to work proactively and deliver high-quality work to meet the standards of senior fee earners
  • Excellent client care skills with a professional and empathetic approach
  • A strong academic record
  • Experience with Proclaim Case Management System (advantageous but not essential)
