My clients a well-established, growing transport company are seeking an experienced Operations manager to join their busy team.
Duties would include:
- To oversee the day to day smooth running of the operation
- Responsible for ensuring that effective methods are put into place so that the company runs to its maximum productivity.
- Conduct monthly reviews/ presentations with the customers or as and when required.
- Ensure budgets are properly controlled and managed, to achieve best profitability for the company but not at the expense of the customer.
- Oversee the customer service delivered by the team and assess that they are meeting customer satisfaction goals. Ensure this is by reviewing customer reviews and customer related statistics
- Prepare, revise and submit reports, budgets and other documentation as and when requested
- Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Services while staying within budgetary limits.
- Implement health and safety procedures
- Manage and Implement new business from Sales to Operations.
- Responsible for ensuring the Depot delivers its agreed targets in all key performance areas, particularly those that can be influenced by the staff group you directly manage.
Skills required:
- Previous transport ops management experience
- 5 year checkable history
- Experience within a supervisory / management role
- Good understanding of current transportation and H&S regulations
- Planning and project management experience
- Have excellent customer service experience
- Route planning experience
- PC literate
Working hours:
- Monday- Friday days (Flexibility needed)
