With a diverse and varied client base the business services some exciting markets including Personal Care, Household and Institutional Cleaning, Energy Extraction, Agriculture, Lubricants and Metal Working.
Currently we’re recruiting for a passionate and driven Procurement Manager to join the site leadership team. Reporting into the experienced and respected Supply Chain Director this is a role that offers Procurement professionals great opportunities for career advancement.
Key responsibilities for the Procurement Manager:
- Managing multiple company procurement projects
- Planning and implementing sourcing strategies to ensure optimised results for the business
- Developing, nurturing and cultivating new supplier relationships
- Ensuring that the company is provided with the highest quality goods and services at the most competitive rate
- Leadership of cross-functional teams and expectations to work closely with other departments such as Finance, Quality, and Operations
- Working in a fast-paced environment whilst handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
- Working on-site (ideally 5 days per week) from the Manchester Office
- Keeping up to date with key market trends and supply chain dynamics in the industry
To apply to work as our next Procurement Manager please ensure you have the following:
- Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- CIPS L4
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience manufacturing environment
- FMCG experience is viewed positively
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement MRP software applications
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams
