The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Permanent Warehouse Team Leader for our client based in Trafford Park.Our client are a provider of advanced energy storage solutions for the automotive and industrial markets. It designs, manufactures and markets today's and next-generation battery technologies used across a wide range ofapplications.Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a battery building environment would be an advantage, however candidates that are willing to learn will be accepted.
  • Proven track record of managing direct/indirect employees
  • Experience of developing teams, including the training of teams
  • Experience in optimizing the effectiveness of working time and schedules for direct workforce
  • Experience managing customer quality requirements and application of the tools needed to meet requirementsAbout the Role - Key Responsibility Areas:
  • Leading a team of up to 15 operatives
  • Allocating work to Battery Builders/Kit Marshalling
  • Allocating work/pick documents for NP blocs and kits
  • Allocating work/pick documents for Service parts in Stores
  • Ensuring all batteries are correctly QC checked and packed
  • Ownership of the Daily Build/Pick Schedules
  • Ensure all orders are built/picked/packed and despatched OTIF
  • Timely 'on the job' query resolution
  • Ensuring departmental process & procedure adherence at all time
  • Carry out other duties as requiredPersonal & Technical Competencies:
  • Sound computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with EHS legislation and safe working practices
  • Proven people management skills
  • A highly motivated individual with the ability to analyse and problem solve in a high volume work environment
  • Ability to make quick decisions
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Accountable for work performed and sets a positive example to other members of the team
  • Customer focused and ensures that all orders and enquiries are responded to a high standard and within established standards and guidelines
