The Motor Claims Handler role:
- Handle Motor Claims: Receive, assess, and process motor claims from policyholders and third parties.
- Investigate & Verify: Conduct thorough investigations, verify claims, and assess damage or loss.
- Negotiate Settlements: Work with claimants, third parties, and insurers to settle claims fairly and quickly.
- Client Communication: Provide clients with updates, explain the claims process, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Ensure Compliance: Process claims in line with company policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of claims and prepare reports for internal teams.
- Fraud Prevention: Spot potential fraud and escalate where necessary.
- Collaborate: Work closely with underwriters, legal teams, and other departments to resolve claims efficiently.
Our Ideal Motor Claims Handler:
- Motor Claims Experience: Previous experience in motor claims handling is essential.
- Strong Liability Knowledge: Familiar with motor insurance policies and liability assessments.
- Great Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities to handle claims settlements.
- Attention to Detail: Organised, with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in claims management software and MS Office.
Benefits of the Motor Claims Handler:
- Salary: £26,000-£32,000 depending on experience.
- Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
