Our client is a leading manufacturer who, to maintain their status as a market leader within their sector, wish to appoint a Scheduling Assistant to work within the supply chain team. As Scheduling Assistant you will work alongisde the production planning team (who control the master production schedule) and the purchasing team (who choose which suppliers to use and negotiate rates) and ensure that there is adequate goods/services procured for each stage of the production process. If (when!) the production plan changes (one minor change from a customer or supplier can have big knock on ramifications) it will be your role to speak to customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure that there is as little disruption as possible caused. Long-term progression is an opportunity with this company, with movement into senior level supply chain or management positions a possibility.
