Join our client's dynamic team as a Maintenance Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our equipment and facilities, driving efficiency and minimising downtime.
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: M23, Manchester
Salary: Up to £52k (DOE)
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 10pm to 6am
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work as part of the team to aid in the efficient running of the site via engineering activities.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on equipment.
- Handle general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Help improve equipment and processes.
- Take on personal projects to boost equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Record your work using the CMMS system.
- Maintenance Engineer must follow the maintenance schedule for preventive tasks on machinery.
- Report any issues to the Engineering Manager.
- Continuously seek ways to cut costs, improve efficiency, and enhance reliability while adhering to safety standards.
- Help train production staff, including new hires, to ensure they understand the basics of machine operation and how to run them efficiently.
- Maintenance Engineer must assist fellow engineers during major breakdowns or when multiple tasks require attention.
Key requirements of Maintenance Engineer:
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Least 5 years engineering experience within fast paced FMCG environment
- HNC as minimum or Relevant engineering qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent (Preferably in electrical maintenance)
- Process Electrical or Multiskilled with an Electrical bias
