Manufacturing Engineer

A global manufacturer based in Manchester is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the business. The purpose for this role is to drive change to ensure that there are automated processes with the highest levels of productivity and efficiency. The business is going from strength to strength and is continuing to grow. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Manufacturing Engineer to make an impact at a business within an excellent industry.

Role Description

  • Working with key internal stakeholders, build an automation strategy for the site
  • Research and trial new technologies with the focus on manufacturing transformation
  • Design and implement automation and robotic systems to increase efficiency
  • Maintain effective collaboration with operational support teams
  • Collaborate with NPI to drive best practice manufacturing engineering
  • Formulate strategies to support transformation for automation, productivity and efficiency
  • Increase fellow team members skills for each automations projects
  • Some global travel involved at this stage

Skills and Qualifications

  • LEAN/Agile training, Six Sigma Qualification
  • Understanding of manufacturing, inspection and test technologies
  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Underatanding of ERP & CAD Data structures
  • Basic or Intermediate C#
  • Experience of Automated Test Systems
  • SAP
