Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

3 - Shift (earlies / lates / nights)

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at a successful food manufacturing company in Greater Manchester.

Tasks

  • Reactive, planned and pro-active maintenance on a wide range of process plant and equipment
  • Electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repair
  • Route Cause Analysis (RCA) and improvement projects to reduce downtime
  • Planned and reliability maintenance tasks
  • PLC fault finding
  • Monitor, update and improve planned maintenance system
  • Support continuous improvement activities

Key requirements:

  • Recognised Electrical Engineering OR Multi-skilled apprenticeship min HNC or equivalent
  • Experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance in a regulated, manufacturing environment
  • Excellent fault finding / diagnostic skills, knowledge of PLCs, motors, inverter drives
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work autonomously and prioritise own workload
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, route cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques
  • Pro-active and professional approach
  • Improvement mindset
