Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering operations, working proactively to enhance machine efficiency and availability.
• Implement and monitor a robust maintenance schedule, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary engineering contact, delivering innovative solutions across all business areas.
• Collaborate with production teams to drive machine reliability and optimise output.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure optimal service and reduce dependency.
• Manage the maintenance budget effectively, employing root-cause analysis to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with internal KPIs and play a key role in achieving operational targets.

What Were Looking For:

• IOSH certification or equivalent.
• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background, ideally with formal qualifications (degree preferred but not essential).
• Experience in a similar role, particularly in a fast-paced, made-to-order environment.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing techniques and their practical application.
• Demonstrable experience in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings through efficiency improvements.
• Hands-on approach with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and structured workspace (5S methodology).
• Solid understanding of technology and engineering software.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities, both internally and externally.
• A team player who adapts to challenges and leads by example.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and process mapping tools.
