Production Controller required for a leading technology protection manufacturer.

This is an excellent role for an experienced hands-on Production Controller who is required to supervise all production related activities for the assembly of medium voltage (3.3kV to 33kV) circuit breakers.

Duties would include maintaining internal controls over production planning and dispensing duties and supervising a shop floor of approx. 6 multiskilled electrotechnical engineers.

You will be responsible for production cost control, safety and quality, and you also need to have experience with lean manufacturing, process flow and continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

You would oversee the assembly teams and report to the Managing Director.

You should be a confident, calm, self-starter

Be a hands-on, approachable experienced production manager

Able to demonstrate good judgement and have the ability to multi-task and plan workflow

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Liaison between company functions particularly engineering, fabrication and assembly

Take an active part of material procurement and control

Able to train and lead shop floor operators

Be a problem solver and a team player

Required Candidate Skills:

Proven background in Electrical or Mechanical engineering

Level 3 or 5 CIPS or IOSCM or relevant training

Solid IT skills, including proficiency in manufacturing resource planning packages

Previous experience in a relevant production manager position or industry

37.5 hours per week

25 days holiday pro rata with yearly increase
