About candidate:
We are looking for experienced manager, with a good background in logistics - understanding all aspects of transport sector with HGV trucks, not just vans, along with warehouse experience.
Candidate with positive attitude, and success driven, proving training and support to the team.
Person who see bigger picture, team player.

Operational duties
- Setting of Margins and overhead budgets to report to the board.
- Working toward and exceeding core KPI's
- Financial oversight on financial matters such as purchase matching, timely invoicing
- Be one of the main points of contacts for staff during the shift.
- Look at the potential of load sharing with another vehicle at another unit to become more profitable as a business
- Ensure that all jobs are priced and closed off & invoiced when completed
- Resolving any escalations / issues, acting as an intermediary between the customer, customer service & operations. Looking to get any issues resolved as quickly as possible & finding solutions
- Ensure total compliance with all HR, Legal, Liability, Health and Safety, Security & Quality whilst overall ensuring complete customer satisfaction
Team management
- To be able to motivate staff to deliver outstanding service levels.
- Managing HR processes including absence-management, 121's, employee engagement and performance improvement
About you and your experience
We are looking for a great all-round team player, able to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all areas of Operational Management as required
- You will have experience and proven manager of people working in a Warehouse and Transport environment that is Innovative and Continuous Improvement focused, you will be able to apply strategy to operations effectively driving change through the team
- Experience planning and managing budgets, and core KPI's
- Good time management and able to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Numerate with attention to detail & excellent organisational skills
- Experience of managing HR processes including absence-management, 121's, employee engagement and performance improvement
- Flexible to work shift patterns that may include weekends, evenings and bank holidays
