Futures are working with a well known manufacturing business on the outskirts of Manchester who are looking to appoint an Operations Manager. The role of Operations Manager will involve managing one large site and circa 30 people on the shop floor. The role requires you to implement and drive continuous improvement strategies whilst over seeing the day to day running of the business.This position is responsible for managing and achieving the agreed factory output each and every day from the manufacturing operations to time and budget. You will  implement and manage KPI’s, make sure that all managers and supervisors are properly trained and ensure that the operation is safe, efficient and to budget.Ideally, interested candidates will have a proven track record of managing teams within a fast paced, manufacturing environment (any experience within fabrication or metal work is advantageous). This is a leadership position, not just a management position, it requires the successful candidate to build and develop their teams as well as managing the output through KPIs. Candidates are expected to have strong communication skills. This role also requires strong emphasises of budget control, quality and health and safety.
