Part-Time Compliance Transport Officer


Type of Role: Permanent, Part-time


Location: Trafford Park


Hours: 24 hours per week. This can be 3 full days or hours split across more days.


Salary: 30,000 pro rota, depending on experience, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.


The Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience working within Transport Compliance in a busy work environment where customer service is prioritised.

You will collaborate closely with the warehouse, sales team, service team, and accounts to ensure the best outcomes for customers.


Example of Compliance Transport Officer Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily workloads for the fleet of delivery vehicles, be flexible when needed to ensure customers are happy with the service provided.
  • Plan jobs to ensure drivers are compliant to their drivers' hours and breaks.
  • Tracking drivers' hours and other tachograph legislation.
  • Update driver medical records, licence checks and training needs.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets that generate customer reports and track deliveries.
  • Plan fleet maintenance schedules with the workshop, ensuring all maintenance is carried out on time and cost efficiently.
  • Stay informed of changes in transportation laws and regulations.
  • Assisting other members of the team when needed, such as with processing jobs.

Skills Required:
  • Experience in a Transport Compliance related role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drivers tachograph legislation is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of drivers legislation is desired but not essential as it can be taught.
  • Must be confident using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
