Michael Page is working with a growing FMCG business to recruit an experienced Production Manager for their Blending and Blowmoulding departments at their Manchester based plant. They will manage a complex team and process and will be tasked to optimise the production processes whilst ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the department.

Description
The Production Manager will be responsible for 2 departments, 4 direct reports and approx 80. team members within a fast paced,24/7 manufacturing environment,. They will:
- Ensure the quality, efficiency, and safety of all manufacturing operations
- Manage and optimise the blending and blowmoulding production processes
- Champion, initiate and drive forward Lean and range of continuous improvement projects.
- Implement process improvements to increase production efficiency
- Drive the strategic development of the Filling, Blending and Blowmoulding Departments
- Champion the development of staff at all levels through training, appraisals, talent reviews and regular briefings
- Ensure compliance with company and industry regulation
- Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders as required
Profile
The successful Production Manager will possess a range for the following:
- Proven experience in a similar position within the FMCG industry
- Demonstrable leadership acumen
- Experience implementing and driving lean principles and continuous improvement
- The ability to work autonomously
- Experience working with complex processes at pace
- Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
- Strategic thinker
- Strong communication and team management abilities
