Overview: Brand new opportunity to join as a self-sufficient and creative Senior Copywriter with a dynamic marketing team in Manchester. We are looking for an experienced copywriter who can handle projects independently, working from solid briefs and executing them to perfection. Our ideal candidate has a journalistic flair for interviewing experts to extract technical information and is equally comfortable writing both educational and sales-driven copy.

You'll be part of a team that values initiative and quality, crafting compelling narratives across tech, industrial, and professional services industries.

The Role:

The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for:

  • Writing high-quality content such as blogs, e-books, website pages, and email campaigns.
  • Interviewing clients and experts to gather detailed information and create content with technical depth—online research is not enough.
  • Writing educational content like blogs and e-books, as well as sales-driven copy for web pages and email campaigns.
  • Collaborating with marketing strategists to understand the client’s goals and crafting content that converts.
  • Applying SEO best practices to enhance content performance and visibility.
  • Managing multiple projects and delivering content on time without the need for constant supervision.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of copywriting experience in a marketing agency environment.
  • A solid ability to work independently—given a brief, you should be able to research, interview, and deliver without the need for close management.
  • Strong interviewing skills to gather technical knowledge from clients and experts.
  • Proven experience writing both educational and sales-oriented content.
  • Familiarity with SEO and keyword optimisation.
  • Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT as part of a content strategy.

  • A journalistic background or experience in technical writing.
  • Experience in leading content creation for marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with creating multimedia content like webinars and podcasts.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Manchester - Hybrid 2 days work from home
