We are representing a leading multidisciplinary consultancy who are currently looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their Building Services team in central Manchester.

They have multiple offices spread throughout the UK and are renowned for delivering high-quality and sustainable engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and design mechanical systems and produce detailed mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and sustainable project delivery.
Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the mechanical systems are efficient and effective.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, reports, and presentations.
Liaise with clients and attend meetings along with other members of the team to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
5+ years experience within a Building Services consultancy.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems, and design codes.
Experience in using recognised design software tools such as Revit and ideally have exposure to MagiCAD.
Be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team in support to deliver projects.
Great communication skills that can adapt both to external parties and clients but also within the team.
