Manchester
Salary: 35,000 to 45,000
Job Ref: #36071

Exciting opportunities for a Mechanical Engineer who is working already within the Building Services Sector to join the team of a Building Services Engineering Consultancy business. As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be delivery focussed in your role. Working alongside the Associate, you will work on the Mechanical side of projects with an equivalent Electrical team, ensuring that projects are delivered to a high standard and on time.

The business is a Consultancy, so you can expect to do plenty of client-side work mostly working with Architects, End User and Clients directly. You will be designing from Feasibility stages through to Detailed Design (RIBA Stages 1-4) whilst operating client side on projects through Construction phases to the completion and handover of projects. You need both an attention to detail and capability to design as well as beginning to develop some commercial acumen too. You must be comfortable dealing with clients and attending design team meetings were required.

There is a healthy package on offer including a basic salary that is more than competitive. One of the biggest attractions to this company is the importance they place on their people across the business. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be given a career development plan to lift you up to Senior, Principal and Associate from this platinum awarded business for training and development.

In terms of sectors, this business is very well known for their work in the Education space, this includes all levels of Schools and Further Education Centres including University Campuses. They do new build and refurbishment works as well as Decarbonisation planning on a site level too. Additionally, they have a strong reputation in Healthcare (Healthcare experience not needed), Residential and Commercial projects too.

This business is currently operating a hybrid model so you can expect the opportunity to work from home a couple of days per week once you have become accustomed to their processes and the day-to-day role and responsibilities.
