Are you looking for an opportunity to play a key role in the renewable energy sector and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future within the Wind turbine sector?Do you have experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within heavy utilities or a related industry, looking to further develop your skills in an expanding and vital sector? Prior experience in the wind turbine sector is not essential, as full training will be provided.This company is a global leader in wind power generation and one of the top three companies in the Globally within the industry. As they continue to grow, they are investing in large-scale onshore wind projects, expanding operations, and strengthening their workforce to deliver renewable energy solutions worldwide.This role would suit a Lead Mechanical Engineer, with previous construction background looking for a highly varied and rewarding role in the WTG sector.The Role:

  • Oversee and manage mechanical aspects of wind turbine installation and completion.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, Supervise subcontractors to maintain high-quality workmanship and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Conduct mechanical quality inspections, including torque checks and defect resolution.
  • Work/ Travel to remote locations on a rotation of 3 weeks on-site / 1 week off-site.

The Person:

  • Strong background in K08 installation processes and best practices.
  • Ideally have previous experience with cranes and or wind turbine assembly.
  • Sound technical knowledge of wind farms and turbine mechanics.
  • HSE knowledge of CDM regulations, Safe Pass, and CSCS cards.
  • Full UK/EU Driving License required.
