Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical design projects, with a focus on UK Engineering Design - MEP.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects, ensuring adherence to UK Engineering Design - MEP standards and regulations.
- Develop and review mechanical designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design to consistently improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in UK Engineering Design - MEP, with a focus on mechanical design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing engineering projects.
Day-to-day
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, your day-to-day activities will involve leading and managing mechanical design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting site visits, providing technical guidance, and staying updated with industry advancements. You will also be responsible for reviewing mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with UK Engineering Design - MEP standards, and mentoring junior engineers and design staff.
