Your Company:A HVAC Business is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join their growing team in the Manchester area. Building upon decades of success, this business prides itself on delivering the very best products and follow up services to its clients, ensuring that all issues are dealt with effectively in order to promote repeat business.The incumbent in this role will be conducting planned and repair work to equipment and units that have been provided by the company to customers in order to ensure a seamless service. These can include both AC and Chiller units.Your Roles and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance as needed at customers sites, including doing fault finding exercises, testing and repair work of various systems including Split, CRAC and VRV
  • Working on Chiller units
  • Supporting the team with air conditioning matters as needed
  • Closing and updating PPM tasks on the systems as they are completed
  • Coordinating specialist sub-contractor requirements for reactive and PPM work
  • Maintaining quality assurance standards, and following health and safety rules and regulations at all times
  • Taking part in the call out rota as required
  • On occasion, undertaking work at heights (scaffolding, platforms or ladders etc)
What you will need to Apply:To be considered for this role you must have both the City & Guilds/NVQ in Air conditioning and Refrigeration and also Refrigerant, Safe Handling, or at least an equivalent qualification. Experience working within a similar role is also required for this position, specifically servicing and repairing AC units/equipment, and preferably also Chillder units as well. Good communication skills, as well as a logical approach to fault finding and resolution work is needed. A clean driving license is also a necessity.What you will get in Return:The business will offer the successful candidate a starting salary of up to £48,000, dependent on the level of previous experience and knowledge, with a potential higher salary on offer for Chiller experience.
