Astute's Nuclear team is collaborating with a leading specialist in water technology and services to recruit a Service Engineer. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in the water industry or a strong background in hands-on operations and maintenance.

The Service Engineer position is a key strategic role within the organization, offering a competitive salary of up to 35,000, a company vehicle with a fuel card, and additional earnings through overtime and commission opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing corrective and preventive maintenance on-site for water treatment equipment.
  • Providing technical and commercial support to customers.
  • Offering after-sales support, both technical and commercial.
  • Completing risk assessments, work reports, and other required documentation.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies for both the company and clients.
  • Timely submission of risk assessments, work reports, timesheets, and other documentation.
  • Completing site tasks efficiently and within deadlines.


Professional Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with:

  • An NVQ or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or a related field).
  • A full UK driving licence.


Personal Skills

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in the water treatment industry (preferred but not essential).
  • Possess knowledge of the pharmaceutical market (desirable).
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and be punctual, presentable, and eager to learn.
  • Show familiarity with the company's products, applications, and markets (advantageous).
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills.


Salary and Benefits
